We're in The Courier Mail (and so are our ceramic dog bowls)
Monday's Courier Mail ran a feature on Brisbane's newest pet trend: fine dining, for dogs. The Puptail Society and Nicole and Baby, the team behind a sold out luxury dog dining event in Sydney, is bringing its dog-ustation experience to Crystalbrook Vincent at Howard Smith Wharves this month, and HARLOW HARRY is one of the brands on board.
We couldn't be prouder. Or more excited to eat scallops next to our dogs.
What the feature covers
Journalist Jeremy Pierce covered the event in detail: a dedicated dog menu (egg terrine with crispy salmon skin, a premium beef main, wellness mocktails made from bone broth blends, and a dedicated dessert tasting board), served alongside a separate human menu featuring Queensland scallops, beef sirloin and a wattle and white chocolate creme brulee tart. The Puptail Society founder Katie Selby told The Courier Mail that pet-friendly experiences took off during the pandemic and haven't slowed down since, with more Brisbane venues than ever now welcoming dogs through the door.
Photographer Nigel Hallett captured the moment for the paper, including our Supper Club ceramic dog bowl in action, with our co-founder Rach and her dog Rylee mid lick of her chops. If a dog bowl can steal a photo, we'd like to think ours just did.
Why we're part of it
We built HARLOW HARRY on one idea: dogs deserve to be treated like they belong, not just tolerated. The Supper Club range, our ceramic dog bowls and placemats, exists for exactly this kind of moment: a dog at the table (or under it) being served something that looks as good as it tastes. Partnering with The Puptail Society, alongside fellow pet brands Nicole & Baby, Pip Eats and the team at Crystalbrook Vincent, felt like the most natural extension of that.
It's part of a bigger shift in Brisbane's dog friendly scene too: more restaurants, hotels and events are opening their doors to pets, and we're here for all of it. If you've been looking for dog friendly things to do in Brisbane this month, this is the one to book.
The details
The events run September 24 and 25 at Crystalbrook Vincent, Howard Smith Wharves. Tickets are almost $250 and include the full dog and human dining experience. $10 from every ticket sold goes to Brisbane's Pug Patrol, a local charity doing real work for dogs who need it.
